Ceramic Coating newbie
Hi,
I am considering coating my car, the problem is, I have almost no knowledge on it, I just know that it protects the surface on which it is applied from stains, dirt and micro-marrings. I don’t really know what characteristics I should look for when I make my choice: Almost all companies promise a better look, more shine, … But then it gets more complicated: some advertise the hydrophobicity (if someone could explain this to me that would be great ahahah). Some others, heat or UV resistance etc… So my question is, what should be the characteristics I should look for in a ceramic coating? |
I started with Optimum Gloss Coat and haven't changed to any different product.
They were at the head of the whole ceramic hoopla and have excellent products, so why change. If I was going to buy anything else to try it would be CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0. Both are reasonably priced. A coating will help keep contaminants at bay but you also have to do your share of proper maintenance. You would also need to invest in the other 95% of it, microfibers, soap, wash media, rinselss wash, dedicated buckets, booster(drying aid) product. Needless to say the polishing stage is the one that gives the look we all want. I have what I need for the whole process but it didn't happen over night. Reading the threads daily at Autogeek forums >>> https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/index.php ..will get you the knowledge you search for. |
Hi!
So ceramic coatings were designed for several things:

I am pretty sure this is the third Kuala Lumpur 1st time poster asking a question about coatings.
My dumbass keeps responding to them for some reason. It must be some kind of survey, I hope I get a gift for participating. |
