Merzbow

So I bought one of those TurtleWax carpet-cleaner-in-a-bottle jobbies at Pep Boys and cleaned the carpet on my E60. Well, it's clean, but now all of the fibers are sticking up like Don King's hairdo and it looks like ass, especially where the parts of the carpet that I cleaned border parts that didn't get wet (which are still flat). What do I need to do to fix this - run some fine-toothed combs to make all fibers look the same?
