The sun came out in Milton Keynes on Saturday and I had a spare bit of time so I did a quick top up on the car. I carried out a complete paint correction a few months back so there was no need for another one yet. Not as thorough as I'd have liked but having a 2 year old means I don't get to spend as much time detailing as I used to!

Wash: Power washed and lambswool mitt cleaned her, dried her off completely using microfibres then went to work with the wax and sealant.

Wax: Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax - This stuff is amazing. Even 4 months down the line of it's first application, the water is still beading up nicely. The rain just runs off as soon as I pull away.

Sealant: Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray - This stuff just gives that last little bit of shine and protection. Pricey but highly recommended.

Enjoy the pics. My photography skills leave alot to be desired so I apologise!

Thanks for looking

Marc

Good job!!

The car looks great -- wish I could fit a (European) Trunk Finisher to my LCI, it makes all the difference at the rear IMHO

Hey Nick,

I used a Merguiars G220 using Sonus SFX Pads and Menzerna Polishes to paint correct the car. I followed Dave's Guides over at Detailing World to help with the stages and techniques when using the G220. I also picked the brains of fellow E60.net member keith84_uk. He sold me the G220 and pads too. (Cheers Keith )

I bought my wax, sealant and, to be honest, every other item in my kit from CleanYourCar.co.uk. The customer service is awesome and the delivery is probably the quickest on the net.

If you need any more info or help don't hesitate to ask.

Marc
