Default Bought a used door but color is slightly off. A fix?

Hello,

My daughter got in an accident and her passenger door got banged. I figure I'd try to fix it myself to save money. Anyway, I bought a used door from a junk yard from the same model car with the same color code. Unfortunately, the color is a little bit on the darker yellow-ish side where as the whole car is pearl white. The weird thing is one side of the "new" door towards the rear match the car but it gradually gets yellower on the other side towards the front fender which doesn't quite match. What's the best way to minimize the color difference? What steps should I take?

Anyway, the car is a Toyota Solara so I hope posting it here is okay.

If you have access to a machine polisher it looks like her car could use a nice buffing. I would start there. 3m polishing compound is worth it's weight in gold. It's about 25.00 for a bottle and will go a long way. If you don't all you need; compound, polish, buffer, pads you would drop more bucks than you could pay a detail guy, but at least you would have it for all of your cars.

I don't have a machine polisher. Can that be applied by hand?

Yeah, but you won't get the same result and your ass will be wore out! You can get a decent polisher at harbor freight. Napa has one for like 65.00. But by the time you buy everything you will have 150 in it and you could probably get it buffed by someone for that.
