Hi!
I live in Finland and usually my car gets very dirty during mild winter days in town.
I'm used to use body solvent wash sprays as a prewash. I spray the solvent on car's body, let it affect 1-3 mins and then I rinse it.
I've found some very effective solvents that are meant for prewashing the body and to clean engine bays etc. For example this Korrek Solventwash Lensitil BR is very effective. Korrek is a Finnish car care product family. When I spray it on, I can see how the wax flows away in few seconds. So does ALL the grit
!
Waxing the lower panels (where I use the solvent sprays) after every wash wouldn't be a problem for me, but how do you see it, is it safe to regularly use a body solvent? Could it harm the paint/clearcoat in any way?
Any other good tips to get the most of grit off before touching the paint? I can see my car shampoo (Turtle Wax Big Orange) used with Gilmour Foamaster doesn't do the trick.

If you're removing the wax or polish with a harsh chemical cleaner no doubt new dirt will collect and stick more vigorously. I'd also be concerned about the paint finish being attacked by the very cleaner intended to remove surface grime.
