Purchased a set containing the BMW Leather Lotion (included are plastic gloves, sponges to apply the lotion and some pieces of cloth to dry it off) yesterday, and thought I'd try it out on parts of the driver's seat to clean some dirt out of the black dakota leather. Has anyone tried this product? How is the result?

I tried it on my wifes smart (it has leather too) and it worked great. Not shiny at all and the leather looks like new.

I have used it on grey seats. It works very well, cleaned off dirt, didn't smell & didn't leave the leather greasy. I would recommend it.

I have already used it twice on my amethyst grey leather seats and it works great. However I am not sure whether the product is the same in different countries (I am in Canada), my guess is that there might be some BMW labelling of local products.

Thank you for all of your replies. I'm definitely going to try it out on parts of the driver's seat. It seems that it's become a bit shiny from dirt it has attracted. I guess it would also be a benefit to provide the seat with a bit of alleged UV protection, as that may be one of the major factors of wear to a leather seat.

I've now used this on parts of the driver's seat and the result seems very good. I got a lot of dirt out of the seat, and the finish is as if the leather was new.
I think I'll use the lotion on all of the seats - the leather in the back seats seems a little bit "dry" and it seems this brings it back to mint condition.
