Depends on what you call the best. I believe the best for the money is Adam's Polishes Americana. It rivals the most expensive brands and is relatively inexpensive.

exactly what is "THE BEST" is going to be what you really want.

some think the best is the price tag, some consider a $10 kmart wax the best etc.....

I have found Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax to look great and hold up well. http://www.autogeek.net/finish-kare-1000p-wax.html but you will get a lot of opinions.

Something to consider is the differences today between typical wax and the new polymer sealants. A good overview is here http://www.autogeek.net/qude101.html

Bottom line, it all comes down to preparation. Clean, clay, polish then wax or seal.

Chemical Guys 50/50 or Pete's 53 depending on the color of your car. CG is the way to go

As the original poster is from Texas, I would recommend the FK1000P as mentioned above. FK1000P has a very high melting point, and one would think it would survive the hot Texas weather nicely. FK1000P is not actually a traditional wax. It doesn't contain natural waxes, but synthetic materials instead.

This is a quote:
Developed from a West German process called Synthesis FinishKare 1000P is a blend of advanced pure synthetic materials.

The result is a paste wax characterized by melting temps. of 250+ degrees, extreme hardness, extreme slickness, high gloss, and intensive wear without the quality fluctuations found in natural waxes.

FinishKare 1000P delivers heavy duty resistance to UV, hard water, acid rain, bug spatter, tree sap etc while creating a customer appearance. Excellent for use on all automotive paint, gel coat and metal surfaces including critical aircraft surfaces.

As with all questions like this, everyone has their preference. Typically the "best" of anything isn't the cheapest one, nor the most expensive. Value the opinion of guys like Tonymac and Anzafin, both are damn good detailers themselves and have experience with quite a few products.
