Stop throwing your money away by buying P21S Concours-Look Carnauba Wax for $32.00 (6.2 oz).
For that kind of money you can by 4 bottles of the best rated Black Magic Wet Shine and a bottle of Black Magic Wheel Cleaner.

What factors did they take into consideration when coming up with their ranking? Only shine "dazzleness"?

I use hard wax from automagic for around 55$. I don't know how good it is or what are the benefits from hard wax rather than liquid wax.

Me too. However, am I missing out by not "waxing"? I find it hard enough to find time for applying Autoglym resin polish & protector yet alone wax. What exactly does wax do I'm not a cleaning freak but do like to keep things looking shiny. Should I try waxing?

Dunno I only do the Auto Resin and the polish & protector afterwards. It does wonders on my MX-5 which has no clear coat. On cars with clear coat it doesn't make that much of a difference other than helping water bead off the car.

I am a bit crazy - I get Autoglym stuff shipped to Poland from the UK. Can't get it here.

I'll stay with P21S.I've been using it since my first BMW and I'm very well satisfied with it regardless of the price. You get like 6 to 8 wax jobs out of the 6.2 oz.
cheers

Sorry, I don't really care for CR. They have contradicted themselves too many times for me to take them seriously.
