Audi A4 Avant Quattro 3.0TDI 2008 - Blue
Hello.
Another Audi A4 Avant Quattro 3.0TDI polished. A 2008 model in astonishing blue colour.
Scratches/surface:
I knew I had some fun coming; basic swirls + Audi's hard clear coat. However, I was lucky to discover there was no big RDS's under the swirls. Surely some here and there, but not many.
Pads and compounds:
Menzerna PO203S + Scholl Concepts Lambs Wool Fast Cutting Pad + FLEX PE14-2 was the combination for the first round. The second round was done with the Menzerna PO105FA + LC CCS white polishing pad + FLEX XC 3401 VRG.
Sealing and finishing:
I put the CQuartz to this Audi too. It is a daily driver, so now the owner doesn't need to wax it all the time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Process:
1) Pre-wash
- Polaric Nox-Wax
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
2) Wash
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
- 2BM + microfiber mitt
- AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover
- Wolf's Chemicals Deironizer Decon Gel
3) Claying
- Sonüs Ultra Fine Detailing Clay
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam as lubricant
4) Polishing
- FLEX PE14-2 + Scholl Concepts Lambs Wool Fast Cutting Pad + Menzerna PO203S
- FLEX XC 3401 VRG + Lake Country CCS white polishing pad + Menzerna PO106FA
5) LSP
- CarPro CQuartz
6) Others
Tyres:
- Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tyre Gel
Wheels:
- Zaino Clear Seal
Windows
- Maston GT Window wash foam
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Before and the wash
------------------------------------------------------------------
Scratches and polishing
Basic readings on surface....
Except the rear left panel, which was resprayed.
50/50 after wool pad.
After the wool pad.
I polished the tail lights with the wool pad as well.
Other side.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
All ready
I like the depth.
I tried to revive the exhaust tips a little at the end.
Too bad no sun.
The flash, not the sun .
