The first car to be polished this year (excluding my own) was this silver Chrysler 300C 5.7l HEMI wagon.

It took 12h overall.
I started yesterday by washing and claying it and continued today. The surface was pretty good; usual swirls but not very many deep scratches.

I also removed the dealer sticker from the rear lid.

The process:

1) Pre-wash
- Turtle Wax super detergent wash
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam

2) Wash
- Turtle Wax Big Orange
- Two bucket method + sheepskin mitt

3) Claying
- Zaino Z-18
- Turtle Wax Big Orange + water as lubricant

4) Polishing
It was a two stage polish;
- Menzerna PO S100 + Lake Country CCS yellow cutting pad
- Menzerna PO 106FA + Lake Country CCS green polishing pad

Headlights;
- Menzerna PO 85RD 3.02 + Lake Country orange light cutting pad

Polisher;
- Flex XC 3401 VRG

5) Sealants
- Carlack68 NSC (Nano system care)
- Finish Kare 1000P

6) Others
Tyres;
- Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tyre Gel

Chrome parts:
- Turtle Wax Silver Chrome

Windows:
- AutoGlym Fast Glass

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Before anything:

The exhaust tips made me wonder how would I defeat them ;

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Washing + claying:

I started with the detergent spray;

And continued with the foam. ½ Autofoam & ½ water;

Two bucket method, naturally;

Rinsing;

Clay;

After the wash;

Sure it looked nice, since it's silver ;

Paint imperfections:

D'oh ;

Preparing:

Measuring the paint thickness;

Everything seemed to be normal, except the right front door, which was repainted, and he right rear door, which was heavily polished. Here's the repainted door;

Warming up;

That was surprisingly easy;

Removing the glue residues with AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover;

And then wiping off the AG ITR with 50% IPA;

Polishing:

This combo seemed to finish quite well...

...but I wanted to do it right and continued with this;

Fifty fifty;

A little scuff on the left rear fender;

Gone;

A same type scuff on the left rear door;

Gone too;

A little, but deep scratch in the right front fender;

Gone again!

This was maybe the baddest scratch in the whole car;

Gone as well!

For headlights I used PO 85RD 3.02 + orange LC CCS pad;

½ + ½;

For the first time I used Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tyre Gel. The wheels were in bad condition and I didn't even try to do anything to them;

And then to the sunlight;

The exhaust tips needed just a bit of elbow grease ;

After all this I felt I could enjoy sauna and a beer... And I did!
