My Ride: E46 320i, M3 paddle shift, Sat Nav
Heard from my local distrubutor that the 3M PPF is discontinued. 
Is this true in your respective country at all? What is the closest alternative to 3M?
Getting quite a fair bit of stone chips on the freeway.

Really? 3M is not makig them any more? I like them. I have the 3M on my MINI and they are thicker than the one on the E60. Avery made the film that is used on my E60. Ya Avery the folder tab company... office supply... I'm sure there are plenty of other companies that make the film. goto x-pel's website and search for local installers.
