My Ride: LCI E60 Individual (Onyx Blue, Piano Black trim, Marino Leather) M Sport Package, 19" M172 wheels, Sunroof, Professional Navigation, HUD, TV function, Voice Recognition, PDC, Active Steering, Comfort Access, Logic 7, iPod/USB Adapter, Xeon Headlights, Adaptive Headlights, High Beam Assist. Build completed August 2007.
I am considering gettig the 3M clear car bra paint protector professionally installed on my new 530 when it arrives.
I drive a lot on country roads and spend most of the weekend washing bugs off the front of my current 3 series.
Interested in good and bad experience from fellow forum readers who have applied the 3M clear product. How easy do the bugs come off when washing
Also, I am concerned as to how this will look aestheticallyif I only apply to part of the front hood. Has anyone had this applied to the whole of the front hood, or is this cost prohibitive.

the ones i have seen with the clear bra have only the front part of the hood covered along with the front bumper and side-view mirrors. i havent had one installed but im really hating the rock chips. as experiences with them, i dont know what brand of clear bra it was but from a few people, not just e60s, some rocks actually penetrated and went through the clear bra. most experiences with them ive heard that they really protect and are well worth it.

do the film affect the paint color when you remove it after say a year or two down the line? will there be a line going across my hood?
I am going here http://www.premiermobilegroup.com/madico_m...nstallers.shtml on Saturday, has anyone been or heard of their work? I checked out the website and it seems pretty credible.

I just had the install of the clear bra at Premier in Fremont and they were great guys. The installation came out great and will post pics soon. I will be going back to get my 50% ceramic tint installed. I like it because it blocks more sun than conventional tints and it's not as dark so it looks OE.
