for years i've been waiting for non leather option(actually this should be a standart as opposed to leather being option-more expensive, heavier etc.)become available in US,to date i have not heard or seen of cloth interior on V8 BMWs.WHY?WHY?WHY?Is it only me who thinks that leather is cold in winter, hot in summer, feels heavy to touch,is heavier, your butt slides all over your seat, your back sweating, your new jeans or colored T-shirt leaves stains if your leather is beige or gray,it needs more care and cleaning...am i the only one???could we vote for non leather option?I would even pay same premium for cloth interior-BMW,do you hear me?
I understand that leather is considered more rich, classy etc etc,but nowadays we have superior, more techologically advanced materials that are porous, lighter, easier to care, lasts longer and simply feel better on your butt and back.I think in EU it is available(EU people, please chime in),so is it possible to have ED with cloth interior on a V8 BMW?

Well, I see your point, but.... if you concerned about sweating and cold seats, get a heated/vented seats option. If you concerned about stains, just get black/dark leather, I think it looks better (to me anyway) than light colored. Finally, BMW is considered a premium brand in US, and I doubt you will ever get cloth seats in US. They don't want to bring 1-series cause they are afraid it will affect their brand image, so I'm sure cloth seats are no-no! You can buy some seats in UK and retrofit them? Or seat covers?

I agree with Rudy too... I think its only you. I would NOT want a E60 w/out leather.
I think theres also a misconception on leather being "hotter" and "colder"
