Now that I've read people have ordered their new 5, it just makes me want to order mine now. But I can't because I have to have Navigation, HUD, and SMG. sigh... So much for being number 3 on the waiting list. I hope I will get the first 5 with SMG, HUD, and Navigation from my dealer. I may have to wait another 9 months.

People are ordering 530's without knowing the final pricing of the car or options?

Seems like it. My guess is that people are ordering now based on the assumption that they will be paying MSRP, not MSRP plus mark up. I read on another forum that a dealer is selling their first allocation of the new 5s at $1,500 off MSRP.
