My Ride: 2004 525i 19" Style 95s, Aux input

On prior post I had taken my 2004 525i (still under CPO)in for codes, dealer found faults w/oil seperator and I had to fork over $480 bucks to get it. I protested to BMWNA and got a call from service manager and was issued a refund minus CPO deductible. Well again, I had to take it in for service. No codes but engine was sounding like a diesel, ticking and rattle. Thanks to the great knowledge of you guys, I figured out that part of problem was the DISA, and possibly the air compressor. Dealer diagnosed and agreed and replaced the DISA and compressor under CPO. So, about $1200 (retail) in parts plus labor, all for $50 buck under CPO. One day turn around on the service w/loaner. Different SA and with much more knowledge. A much more positive experience.

Hope this may help any of you on the fence about CPO

Thanks to all of you and the great info on the site, it has helped greatly

One quick question, i have the original maint schedule and the warranty is still cover. So my question is that do i have to wait untill the service due( oil change ) to get my car to the dealer and let them fix my pass seat ( thigh thing doesn't work no more), or i can just pop in and drop my car there any time ? and do i have to call in first to make an appointment ? thanks
