Thumbs up

Hi all UK based 535d owners.

Just kinda curious as to what you pay for your insurance on a 535d and who it is with. Do you recommend them?

Also, for those who have remapped their cars, how much more does it cost to insure?

I appreciate that location, profession and age all have a big influence in the cost but am just looking for rough prices and recommendations

Thanks all

The gaps between the premiums are to big, hence why I didn't do the survey

520,- pounds this year. 41 years, max NCD (with one protected bang 4 years ago)

Fair comment. Struggled to find a good compromise of ranges vs options. I have heard of some high figures in the past so decided to go high. Mind you, there are not many saying anyhting less than 5yr no claims so far... lets see where it goes...

I am with BMW insurance, I am paying ?620 a year with the DMS remap. Next best was ?900+ without the remap.
That is with my car parked on the street too.

I got a good deal with More Than. ?406, full protected no-claims, age 35, 3pts (tut tut TS10) - ok, it's a 530d but they may be worth a try...

I called them up and told them what car I had and got a quote and it was ?620.

Seriously though, BMW were ?512 without the remap, next best quote was ?900 from Adrian Flux, most others were ?1000+, and with the remap some were over ?2k but alot would not insure me.
BMW were not only half the price of everyone else they are also mod friendly which really surprised me.

Well based on the limited responses (not supprised now looking at teh results) the insurance is a lot cheaper than i thought, although everyone so far has 5yr no claims (wonder if that makes a big difference?)

Many thanks to those taking part in the poll.
