I think what transmission you want will also make a difference. The manual 545 will be definately worth it. I previously had a E39 530 manual and upgraded to a 545 manual. There is a considerable difference between the 2 engines. An increase of 100 HP which will be more noticable on the manual. And also if you choose your options wisely without the Navigation etc the difference between the price of the 2 cars is about $6000. You can save another $4000 by taking european delivery.

545 manual, Blacksaphire/black,PDC,L7

Do it! You only live once.

545 (so glad I decided to bite the bullet)

SMG (everyday I am shocked how good it is)

Active Steering (can't drive anything else now)

DTC/DSC (turn them off!)

I won't get too many options since i am no Rockefeller, the 545's are nicely equipped from the get go.

I would get the 6spd manual but she'll notice that!

Stealth mode baby!

530ii,
Talking about going somewhere and telling your GF going somewhere else is a really risky business
My bros-in-law told my sis-in-law (my wife sis) that his company assigned him going to Taiwan for one week or so, but, finally, he went out to somewhereelse (still unknown location - stupid wife who could not investigate) because his snake was too hunger for pussy. The whole family on both side found out about it. He was in shame.
However, in your case is much safer because your brain is on BMW 545i drug .

I hope you'll enjoy your trip to Munich to see our friendly members and pickup your second lover

Has anyone out there been able to get a loaner from their dealer when they traded their car in for an ED vehicle?

I'm asking this because i dont want to give up my car in November and wait til Mid January for my new one to arrive being stuck with no car for over 2 months!

December Munich pickup = November : car must be paid for 30 days prior =Trade in handed over?

October: 1st couple of weeks finalize a deal

Mid January redelivery at my local dealer. I wonder if i could get a loaner for the duration until my new car arrives? Or keep my car until the new one arrives?

Is it totally out of the question or impossible?

it really depends on your dealer. if they are nice and want return, loyal customers, they might give you a loaner but not neccessary another e60. my friend totaled her e-class and the dealer gave her a loaner while she was waiting for another one coming from the mainland. but her waiting period was kind of short, probably less than two weeks. so it's still workable but again, depends on your dealer. i can almost guarantee my dealer won't do this to me .

530iii,

What are the options that you have on your current 530i and new 545i? How much was the trade in and how much for the new 545i? I feel so envious about your upgrading to 545i
If the number looks ok, it might be considered.
