0. Bug you salesperson on the status of the car.
1. Read this forum and stay informed.
2. Bug you salesperson on the status of the car.
3. Generate a wish list of the mods / add-ons you would like to order before the car shows up.
4. Bug you salesperson on the status of the car.

If you have any other suggestions for the 8 weeks wait, please feel free to add them.

Thanks,
Leonard.

I feel you!!! I've waited for months to place my order, then I had to do another year due to my deployment to Iraq. Presently I'm on the countdown to that big day. Hopefully a month. I agree about bugging your rep, My recommendation is to continue reading this forum, get all your questions answered by the PRO's. I've got alot of information, do's and don'ts and whatnot from these guys. But the biggest thing you can do is be PATIENT!!!

Make an inspection checklist for when you go pick up the car. Also make a plan to take some time off if you can when you pick the car up. My vacation is over and I'm back at work, so my plan failed in that I went to work the very next day I picked up my car. But I blame the weather here. Where you're at you're golden

My wait has just begun, production status 112, which based on some other posts could mean anything. I feel your pain.

I bugged my salesperson today and he said that my car will go into production 3rd week of this month. He said that was the date they gave him and that he didn't have control over it. But, I'll play along for now and be patient.

Are you getting the new engine for your 530i? A SMG with the new R6 engine would be great to drive!

Get ready for some sleepless nights and comments by some that say "Why didn't you get the 7 Series?" and from haters that the car will be "ugly".

R6 cars don't start production until March (if I recall the press release correctly). Your car will have the M54 6-cyl engine.
