I had this post on another thread, but would rather post it fresh.

I think I'm crap out of luck on this question, but is there anything I can do with regards to getting a lower rate on my current lease? Since I was literally part of the first '07 orders placed, the MF was .00250 (highest). I put $0 down, negotiated the car for $1500 above invoice, and incorporated my taxes into my monthly payment, as I always do. I am paying $884/month and I'd have to believe that with the current rate of .00050, I'd be looking at $650/month, if not less. That's a pretty serious difference and makes me want to puke, just thinking about it. Sheesh...for the money I'm paying now, I could get a loaded 550, except for the fact that my wife wouldn't allow another RWD car back into the family after our experiences with our E39 in the winter (don't ask...).

Any idea how I can start over, if at all possible?

See my reply to the other post. Like the saying goes "Good things come to those who wait." The current MF is amazing but it's only good for rear-wheel drive cars 525 and 530. I believe that the xi models are exempt from this MF rate.

That makes me feel a whole lot better. I wanted to wait, but my lease on my E39 was up and I didn't want to extend it. However, come 2010, I think I might this time. Thanks Jiio!
