saw my dealer today to go through spec etc....there is a chance it could be sooner, even the beginning of 2006!!!

anyway, how does this sound?

basic M5, Interlagos Blue with silverstone II Leather
plus

bluetooth
comfort Access
extended voice control
analog/digital TV
Universal Remote

err, thats it.....in the UK it comes pretty much complete.

have I missed anything obvious?

DD........one happy chappy!

Ps, the dealer told me they have delivered their first one but the owner was "dissapointed" in the fact he was getting 11 mpg round town!!....what the F**k is he driving it round town for other than to pose!....Cane it on a track and watch it drop to single figure mpg

Am I the only one who really really hates the Interlagos Blue? It looks like something that should be on a hot rod toy.

Maybe HUD? The M-HUD is cool with revs and gear displayed. Or is it in the std equipment in the UK? Not in Sweden.

Extreme colors for extreme cars!

I admit I wouldn't want that color for my car, but we're talking about the 'ultimate thoroughbred driving machine' here.
So, no problem if it stands out a bit from the other black and silver E60's with M-Sport pack. The standard colors almost make the car to modest. (although I like the look of cidair's M5 as well of course )

With such a striking 'in the face' color, it is impossible to miss the quad exhaust and airvents. With a light greyish interior, it will look great.
Although I am a huge fan of carbon black, the Interlagos Blue for the M5 is more than OK!! (for me that is!)

You really HAVE to have an exclusive 'M' colour.....sepang bronze is (as we say in glasgow) Boggin' and us brits tend to avoid white...(lack of nice weather)....the reddish colour is ok but I'm not paying 5.5K gbp for matching leather

HUD is standard in UK, as is sunroof, extended leather, pronav, etc etc etc

In fact, if you spec a 545i to a similar level, the M5 is only 9K GBP more.......no brainer then!

Silverstone with Silverstone leather is the way to go IMHO. Much classier than Interlagos, more discreet for plod and an M5 colour only. Bit of a concern that you are getting bumped up the list so quickly. What happened to the legendary waiting lists?? I take it the footballers and high rollers in Glasgow have moved on to other toys already. <_<

the bentley continental has much of the footy market sewn up here, quite a few db9's around and I personally know of two 'sportsmen' who are waiting for their M6's

personally I think the Bentley Continental is a right pigs ear but I'd sell my granny for a DB9....all however are bugger-all use whe you have a wife and a 9,6 & 3yr old to cart about!
