thats why having the maintence warranty is well worth it. www.twinkidneygrill.com for only $1595 if you put in "FEST" on coupon code. All those items, fan belt, brakes, microfilter, oil wouldve been taking car of.
that ok said for you guys out side of HK
In HK we only get 2 years of warranty and 1 year of maintence.
then we have to pay over $2000us for each year which is not worth it at all.
so I did pay the warranty for each year which world have cost me $6000us over the 4 year.
My car has only done 45000km and I have change all the fuild in the car like Brake oil, engine oil, gearbox oil just for $540us.
other thing in HK is if you mod the car and itis not a BMW part then the maintence and warranty is voild, so no point in getting the maintence warranty they will not change things for you any way.

over the 4 years I have save over $3500us and that is alot of money for modding my other cars

It was even better when it was $1195, about six months ago.

That is pretty pricey. I remember when I was shopping for extended warranties, I was more concerned with electrical issues along the lines of Idrive and active steering.

i had my airbag light on too. it turned out to be the sensor in the passenger seat. dont know how much it was, it is still covered so it was free
+1. dealer told me it was a common problem with the 5 series. and yes the microfilters are just a simple swap, takes not even 5 minutes. man that really sucks... i hope you find a way around that.

I take it that none of you guys haver ever owned Porsches. I consider it a beautiful day when I have to pay anything less than $500 for an oil change, not withstanding my Hebrew heritage

I was actually going to buy a Maserati Quattroporte instead of my new 550i until they told me about maintenance costs. It was absolutely INSANE.

Try this http://www.bimrs.org and look up a local shop. Give them a call & compare. I would even try to ask them if you could buy your own parts & bring those in...? Garry Romani is the man for parts!
