Ok, I am scheduled for service tomorrow for the "Passenger Restraint Fault" problem I started seeing last week. Also I have requested software update to 12.x. Other changes I want to bring to their attention:
- Setting my automatic lights to not be so sensitive (I have a semi-open carport and usually, as soon as I get close to the parking position, they come on only to be cut off 5 sec later when I turn the car off) I think the settings are High, normal, and low sensitivity... guess I want it set to low????
- Trying to get them to enable window closure with the key

As an update for the "Passenger Restraint Fault" problem, I spoke to my car technician, and he had to order to part to fix it. He suggested he keep the car in the shop, as (after talking to BMW) he couldn't be sure if the airbags would randomly deploy or just not work if I was in an accident :'(

Well, I'm already having withdrawl from lack of my E60... they gave me a darn land yacht to drive... a 2005 Chevy Yukon.

On another note, I was unable to get them to activate the remote to close the windows, he said it was not able to be activated with the US versions of the software.

Hopefully I can make it to Friday afternoon when the car is supposed to be ready.

 

If you are not having any software related issues you may want to pass on the upgrade to version 12.x.

Oh yea and I think the light sensitivity settings are backwards from the way they sound. Check the FAQ's. Here you go: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=2128
