I got to pick a couple loaners and out of one of them was 535i. Not AWD and summer tires....i wanted to drive it. Had the new idrive knob. Sucks we r getting snow tomorrow or else i wouldve drove it...

didnt get the car back yet. My SA is giving me a brand new idrive system. I was like. wow.

be very careful man. although the new idrive update sounds nice, other issues do present itself on occassion. you'll find many threads about it in the past, on members who wanted the latest idrive version, but then encountered other issues that the update caused. as the old saying goes, "don't fix what's not broken".

On my 2007 530, I had the older iDrive system and wanted to do the update too. However, after reading some horror stories of new problems that came about after the update, I decided against it. I only wanted it because it looked nicer, but functionally, it was still great.
