I just got off the phone with my dealer.

They've managed to source me a car from BMW Direct. Its a Silver Grey 520d M Sport with full black leather, bluetooth phone and M Rear Spoiler. Its only done 4k miles.

Its listed at ?28,995 but they have done it at ?27,500 for me.

Would you say this is a good deal? What about the colour and trim? (trivial I know, but important none the less)!

Advise me please

520d will be rather slow but if you are ok with that then aces.

Mrear spolier really sets the back of imo.
Bluetooth has been invaluable.
Silver Grey is a personal choice thing. I prefered carbon black but tbh they do all the promo shots in silvergrey and it was created specifically for the car so meh.

4k miles is decent enough mileage...wouldnt it be better to take the hit of a few k and order new tho?

OR go for a slightly older model and get some more stuff.

It was the 520d I wanted, as its for a company/business vehicle. Not worried about speed (I currently drive a 1.7tdi *cough*Astra*cough*), so anythings an improvement.

I need the car by end of the month and new one won't be here till end of August (according to dealer who is probably talking BS).

Also not really worried about other options atm.

I would go for it. You will have so much more fun with it than with your astra, i guarantee you that .
Especially with that bluetooth function that in my opinion is indispensable although for me.

What about other options?

I need the car by the end of the month so I don't have time for them to add any other options, although I'm not fussed about them anyway.

I have tomtom already and it has sport pack/leather/m rear spoiler so I'm happy with that.

Well i should not buy it that quick... otherwise there is a chance you will regret it. But like you say the E60 has a good basic option list so why not. Is it automatic or manual? Which trim is it; i suppose alu cube?

I've been thinking about it for over a month and test drove a similar car, so its not a rush decision, just that they have taken w hile to find a car I like.

Its manual (I hate autos). Yes its alucube.

It sounds a nice car - good spec and nice colours.

What car target price for a new 520d msport is ? 27,485.

Extras - Paint ?605, Leather ?770, bluetooth kit ?535

Value of the car new: ?29,395

What car's depreciation index shows the following:

New: 29,345
1yr: 22,894
2yr: 19,684
3yr: 16,929
4yr: 14,399

http://www.whatcar.co.uk/depreciation-inde...RT=591&ED=48023

Just looked on BMW's website - is it this one

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details...ANC32000CP67290

Personally, I think that they are perhaps asking ?1000 too much, but then if it's what you want it may be worth it.

But ..... I reckon you could get this one for around ?26K

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details...ANC32020CP67601

Or this one looks even better maybe get it for ?26,500 with free delivery?

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

The colour is great and very practical as is the interiour,
acually a great choise of colour combo!

A 520d M Sport cost as new without any more extras 29,345 (bmw.co.uk).
Metallic colour 640, Black Dakota leather 770, M rear spoiler 145 and Bluetooth 535.

So that would be a total of ?31,435 for a new one + delivery costs.

It's a pretty good 12,5 % discount so if the car is a 2006 and you do not need heated
front seats and auto - try to get it for 27k.

Or even better, you should try to get it to - 15% = 26,700!

Well the last one seems to be best price (just 2k miles is not that much).
But i think silver grey looks hotter than titanium silver... It is just a personal choice you make
