Hum? The residual value of my 2007 550 is about $47K. The real world wholesale is probably $32-34K. Are you saying tha BMW will sell it to me for $34K?

If I understand correctly, the residual that you received at lease inception, (printed on your lease agreement) is the the number they will use as a guide if you want to purchase the vehicle at lease end. IF I understand our situations correctly!

BMWFS is currently offering huge discounts/rebates for end-of-lease purchases. I have a 2005 545i lease that ends in a couple of weeks. They've called me twice over the last 6-8 weeks mentioning a rebate of $8,700!! The residual was just under $37k, but I can buy it for $8,700 less than that (plus sales tax of course). This appears to be somewhere around $1,000 - $3,000 over MMR (Manheim Market Report) value, which seems pretty reasonable to me. I was planning to purchase this car and keep it for another year or so anyway, so this rebate makes the deal very sweet . They're also offering 4.9% financing for up to 60 months.

affirmative.

My residual was $36K, and although I did not buy my 545i, it sold for $27,500 to a buyer I helped align with the dealer before I returned it and had gone through CPO process.

Dealers will be aggressive to keep even the best 5er's off the lot as the carrying costs will eat up any potential real fast.

They even rebated me my last months lease as thanks for my efforts.

Dude, I wonder if I might be able to leach off of you for a second: I have an 06' 530 with s.p. p.p, and a manual gearbox, with about 12k on my o.d., how much would I have to pay for my car (to purchase) after the lease expires, according to the Manhiem Report?
