Ordered a 550i today

My dealer put the order in today for my 550i. Production should be in early September (got the production # today), so I hope to see her sometime in October.
Here's the set-up:
Jet Black
Beige Dakota leather
Steptronic automatic transmission
Sport package
Cold weather package
Premium sound package
Comfort seats
Heated rear seats
Fold down rear seats
Navigation sytem
Head-up display
Satellite radio
Now I just hope for time to fly....

I ordered it from a California dealer, actually. My longtime BMW guy recently moved from Chicago to California, and since we've been talking about this car for a while I wanted to buy it from him. It's being shipped to Chicago, though. I'll use either Fields or Knauz as the home service center for her.

My Ride: 2011 E92 335i M-Sport 6MT
My first post and I just ordered a 550i too! 
550i production officially starts September for the Steptronics, but I ordered a 6MT (that's all I'll ever drive) which will start production in mid-October for a late December arrival, in time for my 31st b-day. I'm super excited as this if my first German car. Big step up from 10+ years of front-drive Hondas and Acuras. Hopefully this car will bring years of trouble-free miles (*cross fingers*) like my other current cars.
The only bad part: $1000 Gas Guzzler Tax applies to all 550i 6MTs and SMGs <_<

Too bad your wait is a bit longer for a manual tranny, but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Wow, your first BMW. I think you will be amazed. Nothing drives like a Bimmer. You will be spoiled for life.

Thanks! I've always dreamed of having a 5 since I was in college. What got me real hooked was watching Clive Owen tear up an M5 in The Hire DVD. Since then, I knew I just had to have a 5. Went out to test drive one the other day. Salesguy was a BMW autocrosser and get gave me the ride of a lifetime in a 545i. He was insane (but I knew he could handle the car)... dodging cars in traffic, hard braking and acceleration at each light, taking a "360" onramp at 70 (yikes) to show off the Active Roll, then autobahn speeds on the freeway. I was hooked. This car will get ya into trouble for SURE.

I'm not leasing so I don't know what the money factor is on the 550. Certainly not as low as the recent 545 deals.
