Looking at placing my order shortly (for a spring delivery) ... 
I was wondering which option(s) would you not order if you could do it all over again and why? (not used much, too buggy, not worth the money, etc)

I opted to not get the power sun shades - I'll get tinting instead.
I do have heated rear seats, which is not of much use with child/booster seats.
On the other hand, Sport, Logic7, and cold weather packages are spectacular! And HUD is far cooler than I thought it would be. Besides the "oooh" effect, it keeps your eyes on the road, where they should be.
You have already made the best choice in choosing the car. From here, it's tough to go wrong.

I've never used the ski bag and don't even really know how it works. I could have done without that but it came as part of the premium package.

I could live without the fold-down seats. But I have a pickup truck too so maybe they would come in handy if I didn't.
If they ever perfect those handheld GPS maps (I've never used one) that might make the navigation system the next on my list to drop. Palm makes one that has voice prompts and it's $500. For the 8 times I've used my navi system in the last 8 months I've wondered if the MUCH cheaper handhelds would have been about as good. The nice thing about the handheld is that you can take it in your other car or a friends car....that would be perfect. (at the rate I'm now using the nav. option I spend $50 per destination input.....that's just ridiculous....I think BMW has really over-priced this option.)

My Ride: 2004 545i Silver Grey premium sound sport pkg auto trans rear sunshade fold down seats park distance control . Did euro delivery in July 2004. This was second ED.
I would never go without the folddown seats. Really add flexability to carrying things of odd size. I live in So Cal and go the the desert a lot so would also not give up the rear shades, they make a big differance. I also find the park distance control a big convience more than I expected.

[/quote]Can't even start a hockey rivalry here as there doesn't appear to be any light at the end of the tunnel. It looks like it will be a long time before we see any Battles of Alberta.
Timing is good for you for your order with a spring delivery. It breaks my heart to drive my new car in the mess that we have in Calgary right now. Everything is melting and everyone has the same colour car (dirty brown).
Good luck with your decision. I assume you are going through Bavaria. What colour combo are you going with?
