Looking for a quality non-dealer mechanic in NorCal. Preferably in the Modesto/Stockton area, but I work in Santa Clara, so a good mechanic in that area is also acceptable (although a bit more difficult to execute a drop off with). Please provide your recommendations. I have a fluid leak that I need to deal with.

If you're willing to go to Sacramento there's a place called Performance Motor Works in Rocklin. Ask for Dave. He was a long time BMW mechanic that went out on his own. He hires BMW mechanics from the dealer...only charges a fraction.
Good luck!

I have received excellent service from Corporate Auto Works (http://www.corporateautoworks.com/) - they are in Mountain View, right behind Mt View BMW. Ask for Andrei.

Hope this helps,
Randy...
