Well my search for a CPO 530xi or 535xi was a big fail, I had no luck finding the car with the options I want, so I will be going with a new 535xi. I plan to keep this car untill the 2011 model change, so I will be going with a lease.

The car I want would be, Ti Silver/black 535xi, Premium, Sport, mabe Nav. Should I try to get a 2009 with these options, or could I order a 2010 now. I don't care if the car has other options like Logik7 or comfort access ect, but I atleast want the sport, premium, and nav. I read somewhere that the sport package was a no cost option for 2009, is this true????

What should I be looking to pay for a lease? I would be looking for 12k miles a year for 30-36 months. I would love to find a car on the dealer lot, but I doubt I will be happy with what they have because I was unable to find a CPO with those options.

Any help/info would be great!

Tom

Do you live in the US? If so a quick check of autotrader comes back with 48 CPO'ed 535xi & 291 530xi in the country. Find it extremely hard to believe none of those have the options you are looking for.

I would love to get an M5, but I think that would be more than I would want to spend on a used car.

Yes, I live in the US, and I searched in a 75 mile radius of where I live(NYC). I really dont want to drive a long distance to get the car.

Dude, you are only willing to go 75 miles for a car you want?

I once took a one way flight to another state for a car I wanted...

But than again, its your money, maybe your time is worth a lot more... Good luck.

My dealer here in MI was ready willing and able to go to the auction to get me a CPO, or to do a trade with another dealer and have the car delivered here to MI. Your NY area dealers should be willing to do the same.

Don't be limited by what you see on Auto Trader. To get a CPO you need to purchase from the dealer, so let the dealer earn your business.

That's what I did as well. My dealer found a car for me in Ohio and sent a driver up to get it. In fact, once it was ready they brought it to me at work (80 miles away) and took my trade back. Did the same with the paperwork prior to that. Only real downside was it didn't get to see it or drive it first...so it's a bit of a gamble...but since it will be CPO'd, not so much. GL with your decision.

Most of the dealers around here say they don't buy cars at the auction they only sell trade-in's. I don't belive them, but who knows.....

I would love to buy a CPO car from a dealer and get it shipped, but when buying used the miles/year of the car don't tell you what shape its in. A 2006 with 75k miles could be in better shape than a 09 with 5k miles. All depends on the previous owner.

Wow, this really is a great forum!

Well I should have posted this before, but the car is not for me its actually for my mother. I talked to her today and she decided to go with the 528xi rather than the 535xi, they had one on the lot she wanted, so she is picking it up tuesday. No sports pack , but it had every other option she wanted.
