Surely they have insurance for such things. I'd be amazed if they didn't make it right. Good suggestion to get a dealer to look at it right away though so you know the extent of the damage and what you want from them. I would also document what happened and what was said for future reference...just in case.
Like most businesses, they have a significant deductible.
Any money paid would be out-of-pocket.

Other than going thru small claims court (if there is one in your state), anyone know how much an attorney would cost?
I estimate about $3600 unless this case takes an inordinate amount of legal time and effort.
Curious.

I mentioned this before, but I don't think anyone caught it. If you file a small claims case, its probably going to get dismissed. Why? Because in those form agreements that these companies have, they typically have a clause saying that all disputes will be arbitrated at their option. Now, depending on your state, the small claims court may force mediation/have mediation available, but thats what you are looking at. Thus, as I said above, by the time you pay (1) the filing fee and (2) the cost to serve the complaint, it will probably be cheaper to have the attorney send a letter, which they will respond to.

Took in the car and nothing is wrong, just a major scratch. Thank god but let me tell you I sure learned my lesson and will be either doing this on my own or going to a dedicated tire shop that isn?t full of morons. Thanks for everyone?s input, it was very much appreciated.

Just to update everyone, I was able to get a hold of Jiffy Lube Corporate and they are sending me a check for the cost of the BMW tech to look at it. So all is well but still no Jiffy Lube every again.
