After 2 and a half years and 37000 miles I am replacing my 530d SE, with a 530d M-Sport. My new ride arrived at the dealers yesterday. I thought I would end some speculation and just confirm what changes there have been to the UK MY2007 spec.

My new car was ordered with the Media pack, the full voice control is now included with this pack.
The AUX-IN is now standard and is located at the rear of the centre armrest next to the rear air vents.
In the same panel are two cigar lighter type sockets for powering your Ipod etc.

As far as I am aware there are no other standard changes.

I will check all the MP3 compatibility with changer etc when I take delivery nearer the end of the month.

Full spec of the new car is:
530d M-Sport, Carbon Black, Media Pack, Visibility Pack, Type 172 Wheels, Rear Spoiler, HUD, Logic 7, Comfort Seats, Grey Dakota, Main Beam Assist, Sun Prot Glass, Rear and side blinds, Through-Load, Folding mirrors, TV Function, Universal Remote, Front Isofix,Advanced Air Con,High Gloss Shadow, Supagard.

Does anyone want me to check anything else on the car ?

Will post pics once the car is prepped by Supagard

What are your opinions on the Supagard?
Does it make a difference?

thanks

To be honest I have no personal experience, but reading around the forum it appears to make it less prone to stone chips and also to swhirl type scratches. I currently have a Mystic Blue and have been unimpressed with how the paint marks easily, particularly at the back. The dealer also says its the only paint treatment with BMW approval.

Someone I know has it on a lorry, and after 3 years and very little TLC it looks like someone has just polished it. I can only hope it works, and reading this and many forums seems to suggest its better done new, as Supagard can trap swhirls under the treatment if you are not careful. It was ?350 including an interior treatment for the carpets and leather, and also a wheel treatment and also an aftercare kit. I will let you know how it pans out.

I had mine Supagard treated before delivery, I did wonder if it was worth the extra cost but it does see to do the job. When washed it does have that just-waxed look. It dosn't repel stones though. I have my fair share of chips!.

I'd like to know about the different between the old (218PS) and new (231PS) engines. Also, the ride and handling - whether the M Sport is noticeably better. I note you won't have runflats so that'll help!

How do you have front Isofix??? I thought air-bags cannot be disengaged in E60???
