My Ride: 535d Titanium Silver, Black Nasca Leather, Servotronic Steering, , De-Chrome, Bi-Xenons including Headlight Washer Jets, adaptive headlights, Advanced A/C, Auto Dim Interior & Exterior Mirrors, Electric Folding Mirrors, Front Centre Sliding Armrest, extended lights package
i would forget active steering and go for the much cheaper servotronic steering and then add active cruise control a really good feature

My Ride: 530iA Silver Grey , black interior. Premium Package, Navigation System, Head-up Display, Radio Satellite, Adaptive Xenon Headlights. AC Schnitzer Front Lip, H&R springs, Rear red reflector, All season Floor mat,
Phill, if i'm in your condition, i will step ahead and get the 545i.
Keep in mind that you are paying for these options for 530i while it is FREE for 545i:
-Premium Package
-SMG (if you get the Sport package)
-Park Distance Control
In addition, 530i is getting the new R6 engine by MARCH. and IMO you are getting such a good deal because the dealers are getting rid their 530s and 525s. Well the final decision is still yours.. but the extra 100hp + SMG will be definetely great to drive. No doubt about that.. i've test drive one of the member's 545i SMG here before. one word to describe 'FANTASTIC' . Good luck Phill

Right you are...
I was thinking about the 530 too, but the price loaded is close to an 545. 5K or so. I'd opt for the 545 now or wait for the R6. I just drove the 545 and its incredible.

Thanks everyone, well, the main thing is, i want just about everything, if i got the 545, i would prolly drive myself into debt haha. I have a question, does the US spec version have any difference in the Navigation?, i heard about Business Navigation and Professional. My dealer never mentioned anythign about those. anyone know if there are such things in the US? or is it just the professional version.

My Ride: Soon to be 2005 5-series
I got my 530i for $1000 over invoice which I thought was a decent deal. The equivalent 545i would have been about $7k more which translates to about $142 more a month. But, I could place a cap reduction to narrow the gap, then again I am tying up my money. Below is a snapshot of the lease between these cars with current rates.
