Congratulations.
What tyres did you get in the end? They look like Conti SC2s, but I can't quite read the tyrewall lettering in your picture.
I too love the M-sport steering wheel - I've just got to get one of those (waiting for Hobi's web site to launch).
So what's your first mod going to be? :-)

Can one living in the US drive to Canada to buy/order a BMW so as to choose the M-Tech options not available in the US? And then drive it home across the border and register it in the US?

Its possible, but I've heard your warranty will be void in the US.

Thanks! They are Continentals. I was expecting Dunlop runflats and was surprised to see that the car came with non runflats and a spare. They told me at the dealership that it would, and from all I read on the forum I just assumed it would. Apparently M sport cars and M5's don't come with runflats? Not sure if that's a Canada thing and Europe only or what's up there...I love the steering wheel too. Just wish it was heated. I'm not going to buy winter wheels and tires yet. It actually runs just fine on the bit of snow and ice we have left. I definitely need some advice on keeping the wheels clean etc. Also not sure how bad the rear quarters are going to be sand blasted with no mudflaps. What do people do in that case? My HUD seems to take a while to come on at times, but other then that it runs sweet! Not sure about mods yet haha. Any suggestions? It's an incredible car right out of the box.

I will be happy to sell you mine in a few months. Maybe I will get an M5! As far as I know it is not a problem to import or export. We are a dealer and buy and sell over the border all the time. Perhaps a 3 month or 6 month time frame. But your US money is stronger then our dollar presently, although not as drastic as before. The MSRP of mine was virtually a 100 grand Canadian! So do the math. I definitely want to get an M5 within a year or 2. And obviously this is pretty much an M5 missing 2 cylinders
