My Ride: Currently in a 2003 e46 M3 Cab
Waiting to get a 535d Sport with individual and all the extras...
The story so far....
1 month ago I popped into my dealer to spec a car. During the month I downgraded from the top individual package to the 2nd as I was getting nervy about the cost.
So here I am, 1 month later, and the dealer still hasn't been able to give me a price / work out a deal. Latest reason is that the HUD is not showing as "Addable" to the 535d - but is to other 5s... He confirmed that effectively it was UK HQ at bracknell causing all the delays but I am not a happy bunny currently. I want the car for march, and that is beginning to look less likely now...
They better give me a bloody good price for my loyalty thats all i'm saying

That is just BS from your dealer. Here is the e-mail sent out from BMW GB to all of their dealers about HUD: -
" 5 Series Saloon and Touring - Head-up Display - Released for ordering
We are delighted to announce the release of option 610 Head-up Display for all 5 Series Saloon and Touring models.
This option is available for ordering from 27 November and is immediately available for Production.
Head-up Display must be specified with either 606 Navigation - Business or 609 Navigation - Professional and can only be ordered with 534 Air Conditioning, advanced.
Head-up Display cannot be ordered with 354 Graduated Tinted Windscreen. "
As for the Individual prices I have a copy of the UK price list and Eq2 is ?2,025 without Individual paintwork for the 535d Sport or ?3,325 with it. Why are dealers so useless on this. I can give you the order codes if you need them for your less than informed dealer. Just tell me which pack and colours you are looking for.

My Ride: E60 530d Sport - Carbon Black, Black Dakota Leather, Media Pack (satnav, bluetooth, CD changer), heated font seats, through load
and can only be ordered with 534 Air Conditioning, advanced.
I've got nav pro without it.

If you re-read the BMW memo it means that HUD cannot be ordered without advanced aircon. The hyphons used in the terms navigation - business and navigation - professional may have confused you.

I spoke with the dealer today... :'(
It seems the full reason is that becasue I am going individual and not getting a car on allocation they must make sure they get the order right otherwise there will be problems if I cheange my mind on anything. Therefore because the HUD doesn't appear to have been loaded onto their computer system (itchy chin ) for the 535da sport then they have had to hassle bracknell to sort their systems out. He apologised profusely for the wait and promised he would be back monday at the latest with a deal for me....personally I remain sceptical but we shall see

And I was right to be sceptical - still no contact 
, am getting mightily pissed off. If anyone has any contacts on the UK south coast ( Anywhere between Guildford and Portsmouth) who are likely to give me a healthy discount and good trade in then please PM me
