My Ride: 2006 550i SMG
Well, my 11 week (same age as my new baby son) wait is finally over! Picked up my car this afternoon and.....can't get the grin off my face!!!! 
This car has passed all of my expectations. Ordering a car on faith and word of others from this forum is taxing on the soul since SMG cars are almost impossible to test drive prior to buying but I can tell you the 45 miles I have put on the car so far have been ear to ear grins. I know you hear this all the time but thanks for a great forum and input on BMW purchasing decisions. Now that I'm officially in the club...I need to really learn how to take advantage of all the 550i SMG has to offer.

There was some talk about comfort seats and matching leather in the thigh support, mine matches.

Matching Britax car seats fit 100X better than in 330i!

Gotta love that torque! BTW, what were the EPA mileage estimates on the window sticker for your V8 SMG? My 6-speed MT is 15/23 city/hwy. Just curious if the SMG was equal or lower. And did you end up forking over a GGT of $1000 or $1300?

My Ride: 2006 550i SMG
Roleez - The EPA mileage estimate on the sticker says 16/22. Unfortuneatly because there is not an excess of 550i around (specially w/SMG or 6M) and 3 people who put their name on a list if I didn't take the car I ordered, I didn't have a lot of negotiating power. I was able to get $1300 off sticker which is what the GGT was. FYI...they sold same day an M5 for $10K over sticker!
