My Ride: MY05 545i Jet Black with Auburn interior. SMG, Logic7, Sport Package, Comfort Seats, Navigation.
Love that anthracite headliner. Dirt proof, perfect if you have kids like me.

I repeat my question asked on the other thread:
Besides being dirtproof, does anthracied headliner improve the feeling inside
the car? Doesn't it look grim compared to a standard one?

I actually wanted to get it, but it wasn't available at the time of my order, so I went with the black leather and the regular headliner. With the anthracite headliner the interior should be beige or something like that, but not black... IMHO...

I repeat my question in case it got lost and somebody would know... What would the difference be between the M-tech suspension (704) and the sports suspension (226) ?

This is our 3rd car with anthracite headliner, and I never had the impression being in a dark car. My wife has the same with anthracite interior (3 series with M-sportpackage) and doesn't bother the dark color at all. My personal opinion is to limit to two colors on the inside. If you have a dark interior you can go for the normal headliner, however if you have a light color, you might end up with a mixture of your interior colour, anthracite and a beige headliner. My previous car was an E39 with yellow interior, yes no kidding yellow, with anthracite headliner and it was gorgeous. Just my 2cents (by the way I'm not an interior designer)

I agree that could be a reason but why for BMW Individual it's a must to order
antracite headliner in the package. There one has a choice between dark and light
leather colors... I wonder what BMW interior designers reason for that. Is it
Exclusive or what?
