Longest for me prior to this time was 8 days - steering rack replacement.
So far I'm pushing 13 days and who knows how much longer. Steering rack again.

So.... It got me thinking. What's the longest time it took others to get their car back?

(I'm refering to the E60).

Got my car back today, after 14 days waiting for the steering rack replacement (due to no fault from the dealer). Rack needed to be shipped from Germany. The 1st rack that came in was damaged in shipping so a second one needed to shipped.
After 2 weeks in a 3 series I am in love with my 545 all over again. It's like a second honeymoon. I didn't realize how much I missed that exhaust note!

My thanks to BMW of Peabody for doing what they could and "making it right" for me. They did the Bluetooth upgrade at no charge and my car came back much cleaner (in & out) than when I brought it in.

There are at least 3 BMW dealers closer to me but I will always bring my car to BMW of Peabody! For me it is over an hour drive, but it is well worth it!

Anyone in (or around) MA, consider BMW of Peabody. Also, make sure to get Rob H. as your Service Advisor as there is none better!

I think I am going to claim the record with 28 days, followed by 14 days, followed by 4 days for a total of 46 days after 6 months of blissful ownership.

wow... what major problems do you have with your car? having the car at the dealer's 25% is not acceptable. can you sue them under your state's lemon law?

BMW can't fix my car in time for the California Lemon Law to talk affect, so they are buying it back and I am going in tomorow to order another car.

Did that to get the car fixed. Have hearing set for Mar. 2, but since car is currently operating OK, requested a 60-day extension to see if the fix stays fixed. Developing.
