Just wondering....I just leased my 545 this April. Now that the M5 is out....do you think I can upgrade and lease the M5?

Sure, its only money........you'll probably owe around $7k-$10k to get out of your 545i (give or take).

Not to mention, you'll pay through the nose to get one of the first M5s. Even if you were on the list at MSRP, a leased M5 is going to be big coin.

I would if it can be tax write-off. Lease would be better if you have a business.
Let's say M5 is $100K out the door, you need to make at least $130K to pay for that $100K due to paying tax on your paychecks of $30K.
If you lease, and if your business makes $130K, you pay out $100K, and pay tax on $30K which is about $10K (assuming 30% tax).
Therefore, having a business is a good way to plug the tax leaks from your hard earn money.

I have a hard time understanding that. Can you explain where the 30k for tax comes up for paychecks on an M5?

I think he was just refering to income tax. If you make $130K, you will need to pay $30K (or more) in income tax. But, if the business pays 100K, it is an expense and not taxed as income.

ummmm....i don't really care about tax because I am just a foreign student. I have good credit and a co-signer in the form of my dad's manager who is american and have good credit too! I am paying 730 dollars for 2 years with (5k + 3K in fees) 8K downpaynemt and if an M5 is 90K, I should not be paying too much right? Correct me please but I am thinking I will be paying about 400 bucks more a month, right???
