Hi,

Just had my software updated on 535d Sport Auto Touring - mid 2005 model with Professional Satnav (UK). I asked what version of software it was updated to and was told 19. Very puzzled as all the forums seem to indiacte that we are on about V30?

Any particular features I can check for to see what I have, or based on what update should have been applied in June 2008?

Main complaints prompting update:

Surge/transmission slam when pulling away. It's almost impossible to drive smoothly in this otherwise great car.

Slow operation of SatNav

Radio staying on after switch-off sometimes.

Not sure if these are fixed yet - will roadtest today.

BTW - the latest SatNav DVD (Europe 2008-2) is now dual-layer ~6Gb. Own burnt Dual layer discs are not recognised in my DVD drive (using top quality Verbatim) - anybody had any experience with these and can offer any tips?

Thanks,

Steve

BMWNA documentation states v30. We are in lock step with RoW so no way it is v19. The dealer may not even know. They should go by Target Data Status. Might even be on your invoice. You should always ask for copy of "Final Report" or "Measures Plan". Will always have your TDS included and even your old version info.

TDS E060-08-03-550 = v30.00.00
TDS E060-08-03-525 = v29.01.01
TDS E060-08-03-515 = v29.00.01
TDS E060-08-03-510 = v29.00.00
See if you dealer can tell your the TDS # installed

v29.02 supposedly contained no update for E60, although it did for other models (3 series)

I have used DL on my DVD drive but only for MP3 files, never NAV. I do know DL is very stressful to get EXACT copies as I experience jitter on my driving videos that is not in original materiel and doens not appear on DL burns of less that 4 GB or on single layer DVDs. I used about three different quality brands and got same results on each. Now, I realize it could be my burner, but I do have a second burner and it too exhibits the same problem.

My Ride: e61 2004 530d - Biz Nav, HUD, Heated Front/Rear Seats, Panorama Sunroof, DynamicDrive, ActiveSteering, etc
Default

I today got my car after upgrade to TDS E060-08-03-550 = v30.00.00 after adding Bluetooth integration.
Previous version I had E060-04-09-504 (can read from Summary page).
Feeling is like just bought new car!
MP3, Phone integration, new faster menus, quick autogearbox response, etc

About DVD Dual-Layer issues. I had the same problem. I just deleted from DVD unneeded languages and then it was 4Gb and fits to normal DVD-R. And works excellently - quickly and no glitches. (See for details my posts in Eastern Europe Navigation post)

Depends on which E60 you have. If you have the N45 engine, you may want to wait before getting the update: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=60523

Bit of a late reply mine (same model, age, v.similar spec) is going in Monday for the latest software. Can I ask how you got phone integration if you did not have it before?
