My Ride: 2005 545i Jet Black/Black, Sport Package, Satellite
Greetings:
Just returned back home after picking up my new Jet Black '08 535 from McKenna BMW (Kevin Hite a great sales guy to work with--5th car I've bought from him. He's changed dealership a couple of times, but I have remained loyal to him).
My biggest concern was would I see a decrease in speed or power vs. my '05 545i that I turned in--answer, definitely not. I could be wrong, but the 0-60 acceleration seems the same, if not quicker, than the 545i. I will drive the car another week or two to see if I am still interested in adding the Dinan sofwtare (more horsepower)--though at this stage it seems unlikely. I also like the added touches such as more seasting adjustments and the cleaner look on the inside.
McKenna also had a great deal on a loaded '08 550 that I tried leasing instead....MSRP was $ 68,000 and they were offering for $61,000....evidently, car was left from a deal after the guy's financing was rejected. He only drove a couple of miles off the lot (only 37 miles on the odometer), but because it had been registered once the dealership could not consider the car new and, therefore, could not offer me 'new car' financing rates. Might be worth checking out if someone wants to pay cash.

mckenna has one of the largest inventory I have seen for socal dealers, doesn't look so impressive from the outside, but once you step in the back buildings...It's crazy, made me felt I am in Germany or something... Congrats on the new 535! Excellent choose!!!

Ouch, that must have hurt ... Wonder what he is driving now? VW Jetta...?
Thanks for the well wishes....FYI, re: inventory at McKenna--you are absolutely right.....I went to the back multilevel storage area where they inventory their cars and I counted 13 M5's in stock....I don't think I've seen a dealer with more than 4 or 5 on hand at any time.....I also saw a nice 7 series Alpina on the showroom floor.
