My Ride: 2005 545i 6spd sport, nav, cwp,sirius,logic 7. on order 128 wheels non run flat tires.
Picked up a 545i 6speed on friday with the sirius radio and called a 800 number on saturday and they beam the signal to the car and it is know functional and i might add beautiful music.

I spoke with a local BMW dealer last weekend and was inquiring about the 545i. He told me he'd personally wait for the 550i. When I asked about it he told me it'd come with the 4.8 engine from the X5. He also logged into his BMW ordering system on his computer and showed me how he could order a 525i or a 530i as an 06 but could NOT order a 545i. There was no option. The 750i is confirmed for 06 and he believes the same will hold true for the 550i so they can standarize on one engine and bring the 550i vs M5 ratio closer as it used to be.

Also, it's kinda funny to hear the M5 boys talk about how the $20k price difference between the two is justified. Yes, I totally agree it is, but there's no way for most to get a new M5 for MSRP any time soon.
