What tires did you have, I can't believe they still have'nt worked out the tire problems. Had my Dunlops replaces four years ago for same reason.
They were also Dunlops. I did ask what type of tires they put on to make sure they weren't non run-flats. He said it was a new redesigned Dunlop take the place of the "old" style.

Might be just talk but how could I know the difference.

Many dealers claim that the replacement Dunlops are "redesigned" but I don't buy it. Pretty much everyone who had Dunlops replaced as part of the service bulletin start to get a tire roar sometime around 7 or 8K miles. In the case of my old car, I had three free replacement sets (for a total of four sets of Dunlops) during my three year lease. I will miss getting free tires from BMW/Dunlop on my new car...

The 3 replacements were on the 2004 car. BMW doesn't normally cover tires but a service bulletin was released (thanks to many people on this forum) that addressed an irregular wear issue that resulted in an unacceptable tread roar/noise while driving.

The service bulletin is posted on this site about a hundred times -- a search should help you find it...

The information that Rudy is talking about here got me a free set on my 2004 as well. Three sets is phenomenal.

I'm sure I could've pulled at least one, maybe two more sets if I'd have kept the car. I don't know if the new owner will attempt to get a set or not -- not sure if he even knows about the service bulletin, etc.

It was nice to be able to turn the car in off of lease with an almost brand new set of Dunlop runflats and never having to buy any summer tires for the duration of the lease!
