It's this place where you can send an oil sample too and they analyze (hahaha ANAL!!! HAHAHA) it for different metals. An engine has different types of metals in diffrent parts of the engine, and judging from the various types of metals in the oil, they can tell you what part of your engine is wearing, and if your engine is wearing properly.
