This is a dumb question IMHO. I think all this varies according to income? I'm sure Bill Gates can afford a lot more than most of us.

there are so many variables to this that you really cant give a simple answer. lets assume you make 50-75K living in ohio or missouri....well you can probably easily get a 525 or 530...maybe even a 545. but if you make that same amount in NYC or san fran...well, a 525 would be a stretch.

if youre young, its best to save your money, start a 401K before you even THINK about an e60.

consider your variables and make a WISE financial decision. its just a car, just a toy, there will be better ones out every year, no one NEEDS an e60.

Hate to sound rude, but what are you asking? Not only is the post poor English, but I can't even figure out what info you're looking for: the cost of the car, income level, or something else??? <_<

I would think you annual salary would have nothing to do with it (besides being how you pay for it). It all depends on how much you're willing to spend on a car based on the budget you set for your car(s).

I'd spend over $125,000.00, of course. You just can't get a good ride for anything less these days.

I spendt over $80 000 for a 11/03 520i one month ago, with less options than a standard US spec car, - but thats what you get for that amount of money in Norway. Guess I could get a 545 for the same money elswhere.
