Yep, Laakkonen in Espoo is my dealer as well. Very good service indeed. I got treated as if I ordered loaded 760iL. The salesperson even tracked for me a car that was coming for a customer delivery and having exactly the interior trim/color I was considering, because none of their test-drive nor showroom cars had the gray interior. So I got the opportunity to have a peek at the car before they delivered it.

Laakkonen also but in Herttoniemi and Janne H. Like to mak business with him.

I put every test drive mile on a dealers 330 and 550 over the course of a month. Kept coming back and driving both cause I could not decide which one I wanted (sporty car 330 or large bullet 550). I ended up ordering the 550 after probably my 5th test drive (and thinking about it for another 3 days).

Honestly I was always a big Audi fan. With the bad roads here and ugly weather Quattro rocks. As I was all about getting a new Audi last year I realized oh $uck, the new A6 does not fit in my garage anymore. A few inches longer so I was right at the BMW dealer..... 2 short test drives, 3 visit later and the E60 was in the garage, fits tit as hell, if I get too many bugs on my front licence plate I can't close the garage
to be honest, I was thinking about swithching from Audi to BMW a long time a go.... it was gong the be the M3, 630i or E60.... M3 is all about end of prodcuction..... 630i was not produced yet........ 530i perfect deal

OK, you just agreed to sink +/- $60k (USD) in an E60. How much time did you actually drive the car prior to purchasing it?

NONE/ZERO/Bought it cold via eBay. Relied on ~35 years experience with them.

Only regret is wheelwell intrusion on footwell for impeded, hazardous clutching. But I'm sure I would have overlooked this is a demo drive.

Cheers,

I took out a two year lease on my 2002 E39, at a higher expense, knowing that the E60 was around the corner. There were no E60 SMG's built yet so I ordered it for a March build, which was the earliest you could order it. So I knew I was getting it two years before it was out.

Fell in love with the car's styling first. Never driven a BMW at all. I was just looking for something nice to replace my Buick -- something with a cd player (the Buick didn't have one). Just knew instinctively that BMW made great cars. Thought about Acura, Lexus, even (dare I say it) Mercedes Benz. But after participating in the breast cancer test drive at a local BMW dealer, I knew right away a Bimmer was in my future. That day I drove a 530 with SMG (not crazy about the option) and a 745il -- felt like I was king of the road. A quick two and one half years later (needed to build up my bank account so I could afford to pay cash) and a 550i is now mine. 1500 miles of driving on Germany has cemented my decision as the best one I have made in my life.
