What are people experiences with the timeliness of the information on BMWUSAs order tracking?

Does it tend to lead or follow reality?

My 550 went from On Order to Scheduled for Production today (odd that it changed on a Saturday), so I was wondering how quickly the info gets updated from the plant?

Owners circle is delayed by several days. Best bet is to have your dealer look it up, or call BMWUSA with you production number and they can tell you.

I am starting to get exciting about the car actually being here sooner rather than later.

Hah!!!!!!!!!!! Well behind, by at least a few days. Best source is your sales guy or the 800 BMW #. I got tired of bothering my dealer, so just pestered the 800 # until she shipped.

My experience has been that the Owner's Circle was just one or two days behind. But once your car goes into "awaiting transport" BMW can't give you any updates for a while. This is when you start tracking it via the shipping company. You can try your VIN with this carrier to see if your car has loaded a ship (I think this is the carrier that ships to the East Coast):

Can anyone confirm this is the east coast shipper?

I am assuming the cars ship from Bremerhaven, I am trying to predict which ship the car might make it on to.
