Our 545 sport w/Dunlops was in the dealer for multitude of electronic gremlins & they mentioned to us the tires need replacement (which we knew, and were already looking for) but they told us that BMW was only replacing Bridgestones & that the Dunlop was the preferred tire! And they said either way we were out of luck as we have more than 10k on it. It's not the first time this dealer has flat out lied to us though (South Bay BMW in Torrance California) so I don't trust anything they say. We're just going to replace the tires ourselves (with non RFT's) as arguing with this dealer is a nightmare. They don't want to fix anything they don't have to... of couse this means we're likely to not buy another BMW, especially from them.

Just show them the service bulletin -- how can they argue with that? It clearly states Dunlop tires and it clearly states 20K mileage as the limit. It's a no-brainer...

Could someone please list the exact SIB numer for run flat replacement. My dealer claims to know nothing about it.....

Excellent, thanks. Took this to the dealer and was denied. Cant really complain too much, I dont have the wear indicators and have over the mileage so I have to agree - I was just hoping for a miracle adjustment.
