I just drove home in a 328 loaner car and was pretty impressed. This did not have the sport package, had tiny 17 inch wheels/tires, looked like a monster truck with the ride height ( about 2 inches of gap between tire and fender but yet it drove really tight and sporty. I am guessing due to the smaller frame compared to the e60. I know I had a 528 with no sport suspension and that thing had tons of body roll and felt really unstable on highways compared to my sport suspension 5er. The 328 is really zippy too and a lot of fun to drive. While the fun factor is there, the car felt really tiny, the inside was cramped and did not look as luxurious as the 5er even though the same materials are applied. Comfort seats with dakota leather and the fact the seats are way wider and look sturderier, plus the extending/beefier armrest, more wood trim and a better layout IMO, the 5er cannot be beat inside. One of the big things is that these cars are just plain and not very attractive looking. This was 328 sedan and I agree the coupe's look much nicer but I think the e60 with 19 inch wheels is a monster looking car with amazing body lines and it is beautiful. The 3er sedan has a pointy rear end due to the horrible tail light shape, it has way to much reverse rake built in compared with the nice rake setup of the e60 sport and they are just a dime a dozen. Anyway I miss my 5er already.

Car needed, brake fluid, micro filters, tilt steering repair, oil change. Hope it is back soon!
