congrats das member # 1 finally has an E60 on the way...just as an fyi, you can get the M-tech kit for your car from the dealer and its actually less than the VPC option, all depends on whether you trust your dealers body shop to do a good paint job...

It's one of BMW's many production status codes, which are described here:

It tells the status of the car as it progresses through various stages of being ordered, built, shipped, etc.

No, the E30 and E39 (which I will miss) will both be gone when I take delivery of the new one. Don't need that many cars around when we only have a 2 car garage.
