If I were you, I'd place that snow tire order right away...AWD may help with traction with those Dunlops but believe me when I say you'll soil your pants when you try to stop on those tires!

i'd suggest the tires i choose for my winter set up, Alpin PA 2's, all i can say is that I know why they recommend them for the M5/M6....they are silent and you cannot tell any noticable handling difference at all and with the power in my baby, its a perfect winer tire.....btw das, you dont need HUD to tell you the speed, just set your 'bling' on 85 at she'll sing to you when you are getting up there 
(does the E60 have this sound? i forget since i've not been in one in such a time?, everyone makes fun of my baby and says she sings to me when i get in, not merely the annoying beep, i luv it!!!)
